Accessibility Guide

Ball Arena strives to provide excellent service to all our guests, including those guests with disabilities & special needs.

Ball Arena recognizes the needs of persons with disabilities and has met or exceeded the requirements of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Ball Arena provides a full range of accommodations for guests with disabilities to ensure their safety, comfort and enjoyment of our events and facilities. The following section highlights our services.

Arena Access

Drop-off / Pick-Up Information

ADA/Accessible drop-off and pick-up is available via the Ball Arena Rideshare area in the 4Runner West parking lot.

Elevators / Escalators

Passenger elevators are ADA accessible and provide access to all concourses and the following locations:

  • Two elevators at the East Atrium entrance (Sec. 140/250/367)
  • Two elevators at the Grand Atrium entrance (Sec. 106/206/311)
  • Two elevators at Section 122/226/335 (During Nuggets/Avalanche/Mammoth games, one elevator is designated for media use only).

Escalators provide access to all concourse and are in the following locations:

  • Grand Atrium main entrance/Sec. 148 (3 escalators)
  • East Atrium/Sec. 144 (1 escalator)
  • Sec. 148/Club Level Sec. 256 (1 escalator)
  • Lower Level Sec. 146/Upper Level Sec. 375 (2 escalators)

Entrances

The designated ADA entry doors at Ball Arena are labeled as the VIP Entrance at both the Grand Atrium and East Atrium entrances. These are the doors closest to the arena.

Parking

Accessible parking is available at Ball Arena and is provided on a first come, first served basis. Guests parking in a handicap accessible parking space must display a state-issued accessible parking permit.

  • Camry North Lot provides 103 standard ADA spaces and 7 van accessible spaces. Special Needs parking is also available in Camry North and is available to guests once all other accessible spaces are occupied. The number of Special Needs spaces available varies by event. Access Camry North Lot from 12th Street and Chopper Circle or 7th Street off Auraria Parkway.
  • Tundra Lot provides 8 standard ADA spaces and 4 van accessible spaces. Access to Tundra Lot is available off Chopper Circle.
  • Rav4 Lot provides 3 standard ADA spaces. Access Rav4 off 11th street from either Chopper Circle or Auraria Parkway.

Ticket Information

Accessible Tickets

Guests with accessible needs are encouraged to purchase accessible seats on Ticketmaster.com by selecting 'Show accessible tickets' under the Filter section in order to guarantee an accessible seat for the selected event. If a guest requires an accessible relocation on the day of an event, guests should visit the Ticket Resolution Desk located at the Team Store entrance. Day of or in venue relocations are not guaranteed and issued on a first come, first served basis. Relocations may be limited to one accessible patron and one companion based on availability.

Ticket Fraud

ADA ticket fraud includes, but is not limited to, the misrepresentation of a disability. Management reserves the right to take appropriate action regarding misrepresentation, which may result in relocation, revocation of tickets or ejection.

General Information

Emergency Evacuation Procedures

Ball Arena personnel have been trained in emergency evacuation procedures to ensure the safe evacuation of all guests, including those with disabilities. In the event of an emergency, please follow the directions from the Public-Address announcers, signage throughout the venue, emergency personnel, and venue staff if available. Please contact venue staff with any questions or concerns and they will put you in contact with the appropriate venue representative.  

First Aid

The First Aid Station is staffed by certified medical personnel and is located on the Lower Level across from Section 132. Paramedics are available during all events at the First Aid Station and regularly patrol the arena. Please contact any staff member for assistance. 

Guest Relations Kiosks

Guest Relations Representatives are at Ball Arena to ensure that all guests have a safe, enjoyable experience. Ball Arena’s three Guest Relations Kiosks are open during events to assist guests with questions and address any needs they may have. Guest Relations Kiosks are located in the following areas:  

  • Grand Atrium lobby next to the team store  
  • Lower Level: Section 120  
  • Upper Level: Section 375  

Hearing Protection

Ball Arena provides complimentary earplugs for guests that are available at any Guest Relations Kiosk or at First Aid.

Medical Bags

  • For those needing to bring prescription medication to an event, guests may only bring the amount of medication needed for the event in the original prescription container with the patient’s name and dosage on the label.  
  • Medical bags must be no larger than 14" x 14" x 6” with an exception for medically necessary supplies in a bag appropriate to the size of the medical supplies.  
  • Guests entering with medical bags must enter via the VIP/ADA Door 1 at either the Grand Atrium or East Atrium entrances. All medical bags must be inspected and are subject to x-ray screening.

Nursing Suite / Baby Care

Nursing / Pumping  

  • Ball Arena is certified through Denver Health as a breastfeeding friendly public space and guests are welcome to nurse/pump wherever they feel most comfortable.  
  • Families requesting a more private location to pump/breastfeed/feed their baby may use the UCHealth Nursing Suite located near the First Aid Station at Section 132 or on the Upper Level at Section 348. The Nursing Suite located at Section 132 is wheelchair accessible. The suites provide privacy, cleanliness and all necessities for nursing mothers including a fold down table, benches and electrical outlets. Please see the Guest Relations Kiosk at Section 120 or Section 375 or the First Aid Station at Section 132 for additional information and directions on how to access the suites. Guests can also use the First Aid Station to nurse if the Nursing Suites are occupied. Baby changing stations can be found in all men’s, women’s and family/all gender restrooms. 
  • Guests are welcome to bring any pumping supplies, nursing supplies, or supplies needed to feed their baby/infant including baby food, snacks, formula, pumps, bottles, hot water, etc.

Strollers  

  • Guests are encouraged not to bring strollers into the arena. Larger strollers may be checked into our Guest Relations Kiosks located in the Grand Atrium main entrance, outside of Section 120 and outside of Section 375. Strollers are allowed in suites. Ball Arena assumes no liability for lost, stolen or damaged strollers or items left inside. 

Phone Charging Stations

  • Ball Arena provides phone charging services for guests on levels of the arena. The ChargeFUZE machines provide guests the opportunity to rent or buy a power bank to charge their phone for a small fee. Guests can either return the power banks to the machine or keep them and will be charged accordingly. The banks provide 3 major charging plugs. 
  • Guests must download the ChargeFUZE app in order to rent any devices. Guests needing help can click the “Help” function on the app for 24/7 assistance. 
  • Locations: 
  • Sec. 120 across from the Guest Relations Kiosk 
  • Sec. 256 near the restroom at the top of the escalator 
  • Sec. 373 across from the restroom/around the corner from the Guest Relations Kiosk 

Restrooms

All public restrooms at Ball Arena are accessible for guests with disabilities. Additionally, the arena provides accessible all gender and family restrooms.  

Sensory Sensitivity Accommodations

Ball Arena has partnered with KultureCity to improve our ability to assist and accommodate guests with sensory needs. Our objective is to provide an inclusive and seamless experience for all guests for all events including those with sensory needs. We strive to raise awareness of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with sensory processing disorders by supplying our Team Members with continuous training and by offering the resources and accommodations below to our guests.  

  • Sensory Bags  

Sensory bags containing a special badge for guest recognition, fidget tools, noise-canceling headphones and other resources are available for checkout (at no cost by leaving an ID) at our Guest Relations Kiosks.  

  • Sensory Nooks  

Ball Arena also features two Sensory Nooks located at Section 120 and Section 340 in the elevator lobbies. These create an encapsulated environment to positively influence mood, reduce challenging behavior & lower anxiety levels by reducing noise and other stimuli.

Service Animals

Ball Arena welcomes service animals utilized by Guests with disabilities. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times and will rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle.

Guests with service animals can visit the Grand Atrium for directions on where to exit/re-enter if the animal needs to relieve themselves.

A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Ball Arena guests and employees may be asked to escort the animal off the premises. Please be aware that Ball Arena events may involve the use of fireworks and other pyrotechnics.

Strobe / Laser / Pyrotechnics Advisory

Performances and events at Ball Arena may include the use of strobe lighting, haze, lasers, fireworks and other pyrotechnics. 

Website Accessibility

Ball Arena is committed to providing a positive experience to all our guests and we aim to facilitate the accessibility and usability of our website. Mobility Accommodations

Concession stands

Every permanent concession stand and bar is accessible to guests with disabilities. If assistance is required, please contact the nearest staff member. 

Drinking Fountains

There are accessible drinking fountains located adjacent to restrooms throughout Ball Arena. 

Wheelchair / Companion Seating

Dispersed wheelchair and accessible seating is available on all levels of the arena. Accessible seats are reserved for guests with disabilities who have accessible needs and their companions. Folding chairs will be provided for companion seats. Accessible seats are available in the following locations at Ball Arena but may vary depending on the event configuration:  

  • Service/Floor Level: Varies by event  
  • Lower Level: Sections 102, 106, 120, 130, 134, 136, 138, 140 & 144  
  • Club Level: Sections 216, 236 & 256  
  • Upper Level: Sections 305, 311, 317, 327, 333, 339, 345, 351, 357, 367, 373 & 379 

Wheelchair Escorts

Our Guest Relations Representatives provide a complimentary wheelchair escort service. Our Guest Relations Representative will escort you in the wheelchair, drop you off at your seats, and then return at the end of the night to escort you out. Please note we cannot leave our wheelchairs with you, but all seating locations will have seats for you to sit in. 

  • You will be picked up in the order that you were dropped off. Please wait in your seats or on the concourse for a Representative to escort you. If you are planning on leaving early and do not need an escort out, please let a Representative know. 
  • Guest Relations Representatives CANNOT enter the parking lots, but they can meet you/drop you off outside of any of our main entrances. (Click here for Parking Map) 
  • Only one person may be in the wheelchair at a time (please no companions sitting on laps). 
  • Due to the limited number of wheelchairs available, our Representatives will not be able to stop at restrooms, concession stands, or retail stores. 

Hearing Accommodations

ASL Interpreters

Ball Arena is pleased to provide sign language interpretation for our deaf or hard of hearing guests. Please contact Guest Relations at 303.405.8548 or guestrelations@teamkse.com at least two (2) weeks prior to the event to schedule this service. We cannot guarantee accommodation for requests made within two (2) weeks of the event. Guests requesting interpreting services must provide proof of ticket purchase & seat location in order for us to move forward with the booking process.  

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive Listening Devices are available for deaf and hard of hearing guests at all Ball Arena events. Please visit our Guest Relations Kiosk located in the Grand Atrium and request an Assistive Listening Device. Guests will be required to leave valid identification such as a driver's license as collateral. This is a complimentary service.  

Captioning

  • Open captioning is available for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing for all Nuggets, Avalanche, and Mammoth games. The open captioning boards are strategically positioned below Sections 210, 222, 240 and 252 in the venue bowl for easy viewing.  
  • Guests can access the complimentary closed captioning service on their mobile device by going to vzp.cloud/ball. All standard data rates will apply. Guests can also visit the Guest Relations Kiosk in the Grand Atrium to borrow a device to utilize the closed captioning service.  
  • Closed captioning for concerts and special events is available upon request. Please contact Guest Relations at 303-405-8548 at least two (2) weeks prior to the event to schedule. 

Vision Accommodations

Information in Braille is located throughout Ball Arena.
