COVID-19 Entry Procedures

Beginning on November 10, 2021, as a condition to entry to Ball Arena for Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth and all concert and entertainment events (unless such event is listed specifically under Specific Health and Safety Requirements below), each event attendee age 12 and over, will be required to present either:

1) proof that the individual is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or

2) proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to the event you are attending.

Proof of COVID-19 test results must be time stamped no earlier than 72 hours prior to the event you are attending. Each individual over the age of 18 will be required to show an approved government issued identification for admission to the venue. The identification of the individual on the vaccination card or negative COVID-19 test result must match the identity on the approved government issued identification. Attendees under the age of 18 will not be required to show a government issued ID.

Per the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated:

If you don’t meet these requirements, you are NOT fully vaccinated and will need to provide proof of negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event you are attending.

All attendees over the age of 2 are required to wear a face mask at all times while inside the venue and while standing in any admission lines.

Event attendees who fail to comply with the mask requirement will not be permitted to enter Ball Arena or may be subject to ejection from Ball Arena.

Verification of proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test will take place prior to entry into the venue.

***Important information for any attendee under the age of 18***

For any attendees under the age of 18, the following applies:

Admission will not be granted to anyone (ages 12 and over) without proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test.

 

Specific Event Health and Safety Requirements

Certain entertainment events may require different timing for negative test results, different requirements for ages 11 and under for proof of negative COVID-19 tests or additional health safety guidelines per the request of promoters, artists or league protocols. If You’re Sick, Stay Home

If you or any member of your party is feeling sick or has symptoms associated with COVID-19, please stay home, and do not come to Ball Arena.

People who have COVID-19 symptoms should get tested right away and stay home except to get medical care.

Assumption of Risk

You must follow all Ball Arena policies, including health and safety policies and posted instructions while outside and inside of the venue.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the CDC, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By entering Ball Arena, you 1) acknowledge and voluntarily agree to assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and all strains, mutations and variations thereof, whether known now or in the future, by virtue of your presence at Ball Arena and 2) are agreeing to all terms and conditions referred to on your ticket and online at ballarena.com/terms-conditions including compliance with Ball Arena’s health and safety policies. These policies are subject to change without notice.

***Important Information for Guests within 15 feet of the Denver Nuggets Court***

Each event attendee age 2 and over, will be required to present either:

  1. proof that the individual is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or
  2. proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test time stamped no earlier than 48 hours prior to the event you are attending.

Areas within 15 feet of the Denver Nuggets court include:

  • All Courtside Seating (any ticket with row PCS, OCS, CS1, CS2, or CS3).
  • Sections 102-104, Rows AA & BB, 1 & 2*
  • Sections 146-148, Rows AA & BB, 1 & 2*

*Note: Requirements for Rows 1 & 2 apply to ages 12 and older only. Ages 11 and under default to the venue protocols detailed above.

Access to seats within 15 feet of the Denver Nuggets court will not be granted to anyone (ages 2 and over) without proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What kind of COVID-19 test is considered a diagnostic test?

A: A PCR or antigen COVID-19 test will be accepted - please be sure to bring printed proof or digital copy proof of your negative test result, dated and time-stamped.

Q: Will at home COVID-19 tests be accepted?

A: At home COVID-19 test results will only be accepted if there is a link to results you can print or present digitally from a medical platform, dated and time-stamped.

Q: What does fully vaccinated mean?

A: Per the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine or other vaccine approved by the World Health Organization vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

If you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated and will need to provide proof of negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event you are attending.

Q: Are out of state and international COVID-19 test results valid?

A: Yes, as long as the results are time stamped within 72 hours prior to the event you are attending.

Q: What does showing proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event you are attending mean?

A: Proof of COVID-19 test results can be time stamped no earlier than 3 days prior to the event you are attending. For example, if you are attending an event on August 4 at 7:00 PM, the time stamp on your negative COVID-19 test could be no earlier than 7:00 PM on August 1. This would be the maximum 72 hour time from 7:00 PM on August 1 to when the event begins at 7:00 PM on August 4.

Q: What forms of proof of vaccination verification are permitted?

A: Hard copies, digital photo copies, mobile phone copies, paper photo copies, state app verifications (My Colorado App or similar) and International Verification means are all acceptable. If you are over 18 years old, you will also need to show a government issued identification to match the name on your proof of vaccination.

Q: What forms of government identification are acceptable to verify identity to a proof of vaccination or proof of negative test?

A: Driver’s License or similar ID issued by a government entity and Student ID cards are acceptable to verify a name to the proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test. Passports are also permissible.

Q: What if I am under the age of 18 and I don’t have a government issued identification?

A: Anyone under the age of 18 years old is not required to show a government issued identification to verify with their proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test.

Q: Can I get a medical or religious exemption from this policy?

A: Individuals with exemptions from the vaccine requirement must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. There are no exemptions to the testing requirement.

Q: I recently had COVID-19 and I am past the 14 day quarantine period but I am still testing positive for COVID-19, am I able to attend an event since I’m past the 14 day quarantine period?

A: You must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event you are attending.
